FULTON – Bruce L. Tonkin, 62, of Fulton died Friday April 26, 2024 in the Oswego Hospital.
Bruce was born in Oswego the son of the late Chester and Mildred (Smith) Tonkin. Bruce was an electrician and a member of the IBEW # 328, #43, and # 97. He worked as an electrician with Entergy Nuclear and retired from Excelon in 2020. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and going to the Oswego Speedway, Nascar racing and he was a member of the Elks Lodge # 830, in Fulton. Bruce’s greatest passion was betting and traveling to casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
In addition to his parents Bruce was predeceased by his brother Jay Edward Tonkin in 2009.
Bruce is survived by the love of his life Catherine Munk of Fulton, his nieces Lori (Jeff) Wheeler of Maine, Jen (Joe) Stanley of Delaware, and nephew Kevin (Cris) Tonkin of New Hampshire. He is also survived by his great niece Harper, and great nephews Owen, Ellis, and Wylder.
There will be no calling.
Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday May 8, 2024 at St Peter’s Cemetery.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th St Oswego.
