OSWEGO – September 12, 2025, Caroline Louise Doran, 63; passed away on September 12, 2025, in Oswego, New York, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 1, 1962, in La Mirada, California, Caroline faced life’s challenges with strength and resilience.
Caroline was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love for her family knew no bounds. She held a deep and abiding affection for her only son, Casey Gross, and cherished every moment spent with her grandson Brogan Gross. Caroline loved horses, and her beloved puppy Heidi brought her comfort and joy throughout the years. Caroline also shared love and an amazing bond with her significant other, Donald Fitzgerald. Caroline was a graduate of Powelson Business Institute and worked as front end manager at the Golden Nugget Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Casey Gross, brothers: Edward J. (Cindy) Doran and John T. (Sue) Doran, her significant other: Donald Fitzgeral and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Caroline was preceded in death by her mother: Mary F. Doran, father: Edward J. Doran, grandmother: Louise Casey, grandfather: Lieutenant Colonel John Casey, and grandson: Brogan Gross.
Caroline requested no Funeral or Calling Hours; she wished only for cremation and that her ashes be handled according to her private wishes.
In honor of Caroline’s memory and in accordance with her wishes, she asked that those who wish to offer condolences are encouraged to support her son Casey. As he is currently incarcerated in the State of Florida, contributions can be coordinated by emailing [email protected] for further instructions.
