OSWEGO, NY – Charles E. Ahern, 74, of Oswego, died Saturday October 25, 2014, at Oswego Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Ahern was born in Oswego the son of the late Dr. Charles and Mary Ahern.
He moved back in 2005 to his hometown Oswego after living in California for several years.
He retired as a sales manager from Thrifty Drug Corp., California.
Mr. Ahern served in the United States Army.
He was also a communicant of St. Mary’s Assumption Church.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Arduini Ahern of Oswego; daughters, Marybeth (Scott) Ahern Johnson, and Lee Ann Ahern both of California; his sister, Denise (Paul) Ahern-Forberg; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego, with Rev. Richard Morisette officiating.
Burial will be held in California at the convenience of the family.
