Charles L. House

FULTON – Charles L. House, 82, of Hannibal peacefully died Wednesday November 6, 2024.

Mr. House was born in Memphis, TN, the son of the late Arthur and Irene (Fredenburg) House, he has resided most of his life in the Hannibal area. He was retired form Hutchings Psychiatrist Center as a maintenance assistant. Mr. House is a member of the NRA, past vice president of the CSEA, and past president of the Futon Softball League. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, he will always be remembered for his coaching softball for the men’s, women and family teams. He was the coach that led the 2010 Fulton Little league team to the district 8 championship finishing in third place, which was truly the highlight of his coaching career. Mr. House knew how to mentor and instruct both young and old in playing softball so you would excel to your highest potential, as he believed in everyone.

Mr. House is survived by his wife Martha House of Hannibal, and their children Brian Sullivan of Fulton, John House of Fulton; Melody Birmingham of NC; Sheryl Hammond of Fulton; Kelly Newton of GA; Michelle ”Boo” (Don) Stoutenger of Fulton; Charles “Chipper” (Alice) House of Oswego, Patricia House of Oswego; Catherine Reed of Fulton; Mary House of Oswego; Charlie (Norm) Noel of Hannibal, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and brother Michael House of Fulton.

He was predeceased by his sister MaryJane Rivera, and brother Melvin House, Calling Hours will be held Monday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton.

Mr. House will always fondly remembered for all the time he spent coaching all of his past players in softball.
