OSWEGO – Chester “J.R.” Hoffman Jr., 50; of Oswego, NY passed away Thursday, April 24th, 2025, at University Hospital, Syracuse after a short illness.
Chester was born in Oswego, NY to the late Chester and Carol (Graham) Hoffman Sr. He was a lifetime resident of Oswego, NY. J.R. loved spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoyed having a little 420.
Chester is survived by his daughters: Tanya (Kevin Knapp) Carpenter of Fulton, NY and Bella Webster of MA; his siblings: Tammy (Mike Seaman) Allen of Clyde, NY; Diane (Greg) Tyler of Lyons, NY; Brenda (Robert Zaccour) Austin of Savannah, NY; Mary (Richard) Bardin of Hannibal, NY and Dustin Hoffman of Hannibal, NY. Chester is also survived by his best friend Glenn James of Oswego and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held 3:30 to 4:30 PM Tuesday in the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton.
A Funeral Service will follow at 4:30 PM in the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Sue Acker officiating Burial will be held privately.
