Claudine H. ‘Babe’ (Blake) Northrup, 82

FULTON, NY – Claudine H. “Babe” (Blake) Northrup, 82, formerly of Fulton, died Friday November 9, 2012, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson, NH, after a period of declining health.

She was born September 8, 1930, to the late William and Claudine Blake of Hannibal and was affectionately known as Babe her entire life.

She was a graduate of Hannibal High School, class of 1947, and she retired after many years of service from Nestle Co., Fulton.

In her life Babe was quite fond of the three B’s, bowling, bingo, and bunko.

Generous and outgoing, she was actively involved in various civic and religious organizations, including the post of past president of the Fulton Elks Ladies Auxiliary and as a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Family Church, Fulton.

She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, for whom she held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Northrup, in 2008; her first husband, Leon Laws; and most of her many siblings.

She is survived by her son, Attorney Michael L. Laws and his wife, Patricia, of Nashua, NH; her daughter, Denise Davis of Syracuse, NY; two siblings, Janet Bogdal and William Blake both of Florida; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.

Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 9 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home.
