OSWEGO, NY – Concetta Solazzo Pelkey, 81, of Oswego, died Wednesday July 30, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.
Connie was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta (Gambino) Solazzo Sr.
Connie was a former employee with Stone and Webster in Oswego.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church.
Connie is survived by her children Gerard (Lisa) Pelkey of Oswego, Donald (Sally) Pelkey of Oswego and Ann (Butch) Clark of Fulton; her brother, Michael Solazzo of Oswego; sisters Jane Farfaglia of Fulton, Anna Fitzsimmons of Oswego and Frances Solazzo of Oswego; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition Connie was predeceased by her sisters Augustina Benzunas, Rose Solazzo and Mary Walsh; and her brothers Nicasio, Anthony, John, Dominick and Joseph Solazzo.
Funeral services will be held August 4 at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
