FULTON – September 13, 2026, Craig R. Dumas, 84; of Fulton, NY passed Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late George and Gertrude (Haskins) Dumas. Craig lived in Fulton, NY since 1953. He worked in IT for Alcan, Scriba for 20 years before retiring from Oswego Health, Oswego, NY where he was an Interim Chief Information Officer. Mr. Dumas’ first and foremost priority was always his family. As a young man Craig enjoyed learning how to fly private planes and was a member of the Granby Flying Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing and canoeing in the Adirondak, NY area. Mr. Dumas was also an avid traveler both nationwide and internationally. He will be remembered and missed for his dedication to his family, his integrity, humor and his love of simple pleasures such as a wonderfully baked yellow cake with chocolate icing along with a scoop of ice cream.
Craig was pre-deceased by his first wife and mother of his girls: Lois Dumas in 2001.
He is survived by his wife of over 20 years: Jane Dumas; and his girls: Colleen (Mark) Caza of Fulton, NY; Tracey (Ted) VanDewerker of OH, Lori (Todd) Ouimet of WV; his stepsons: William (Michele) Ciamarro of Central Square, NY, David (Jamie) Ciamarro of Phoenix, NY; and Christopher (Tina) Ciamarro of Central Square, NY. He is also survived by nine beloved grandchildren: Lindsay, Adam, Alex, Jacob, Zachary, Jamie, Sara, Nicole and Dakota; and two great grandchildren: Levi and Michael.
Calling Hours will be held 9:30 to 11:30 AM Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton.
The Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM in the funeral home with Deacon Jeff Dean officiating.
Burial will be conducted in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
