Cynthia M. Castaldo, 84

OSWEGO, NY – Cynthia M. Castaldo, 84, of Oswego, died Monday February 26, 2018, peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Mrs. Castaldo was born in Fulton, the daughter of the late George and Elsie (Holmes) little.

Mrs. Castaldo was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and a former Bingo volunteer.

She loved being with family and friends sharing meals and playing cards.

Mrs. Castaldo is survived by her husband of 66 years, Louis Castaldo, of Oswego; and their children, Louis (Dorothy) Castaldo of Oswego, Raymond Castaldo of Florida, Gloria (Steve) Jacobsen of New York, Donna Colahon of Virginia and Janet (John) Hammer of Virginia; daughter-in-law, Kim Castaldo; her beloved grandchildren, Jamie, Raymond, Adam, Matthew, Annmarie, Louie, Sarah, Addison, Sam, Brianna, Curtis and Austin; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, George Little, Patty Kells, Maryjane Siemborski, Claudia Edwards, Jenny Malone and Claudia Prior.

She will be remembered as Granny, as she was lovingly called by many children.

Mrs. Castaldo was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and James Little, and Edward and George Williamson.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Oswego, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
