Daniel Thomas Woods

OSWEGO – Daniel Thomas Woods, 64, of Oswego, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 5, 2025, at his home.

Danny was born on Valentine’s Day 1961, the son of the late John B. Woods and Rosemary Woods of Oswego, Danny was a very special person. His good-hearted kindness, and ability to make many friends left an indelible mark on the community, and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to meet him.

Dan is survived by his mother Rosemary Woods of Oswego, and his siblings John (Cynthia) Woods, of Fulton; Laurie (Kevin) Velzy of Oswego; Charles (Cheryl) Woods of Texas; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Danny was predeceased by his father John “Jack” Woods, and his brother Patrick Woods.

Calling hours will be Thursday April 10, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4^th. St. Oswego. Funeral services and burial will be private.

Danny’s family would to thank Dr. Thomas Hanna, and his staff for the excellent care they provided for him over the years, and to Renee Earl and staff from DSS for all their care and assistance.
