Eric A. Thornquist, 54, of Scriba Town, died peacefully on Tuesday April 22, 2025, at home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and resided there for most of his life, until moving to Oswego a year and a half ago. He retired after 25 years from the Bridgeport Connecticut Federal District Court House as an IT Technician. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife and friends, spending time with his grandchildren, and lending a helpful hand to his stepson whenever something needed fixing. He was a selfless and devoted spouse and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Eric is survived by his wife, Michele Thornquist of Scriba, his stepson Joe Fortunato of Scriba, daughter in law Katie Fortunato of Scriba, his grandchildren Lia, Joey, Gabriella, and his Uncle Joe Thornquist of Connecticut.
The family has requested that his services be private and a celebration of life will be announced soon.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th St. Oswego.
