Frank Joseph Terminella, 97; of Oswego, NY. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved father, devoted husband, grandfather, great grandfather (Super Papa,) brother, uncle and friend on Sunday, August 31st, 2024.
Frank was born on August 29, 1927, in Oswego, NY to the late Frank and Josephine (Balistreri) Terminella. He was raised and worked on the local family farm and was educated in Oswego Schools. He was an active parishioner of St. John’s and St. Mary’s Church, Oswego. Frank was a United States Veteran having served in the Navy during WWII. Later, he worked at Marathon, and then at Alcan, Scriba, NY where he earned a reputation for his reliability and skill. He retired in 1985 from Alcan as a Remelt Maintenance Foreman. After retirement, Frank enjoyed spending his winters in Florida for 30 years. He had a love for cars and woodworking and he would also spend many hours building and remodeling for family and others. Frank was best known for his unwavering commitment to his family, and his tireless work ethic. Throughout his life, he demonstrated an extraordinary dedication to providing for his loved ones.
Frank was always hardworking and put his family’s needs above his own. His strength, perseverance, and selflessness were evident in everything he did, and his legacy of hard work and family devotion will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Frank was pre-deceased by his wife: Lois (Gunther) Terminella, his brother: Emanuele Terminella and sons-in-law: Jerry Primeau and Joseph Fitzsimmons. Though Frank is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the values he instilled in his family and the countless lives he touched.
Frank will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his survivors: his devoted daughters: Deborah Primeau, Linda Fitzsimmons, Lois Terminella and Donna (Frank) Zarnowski all of Oswego, NY; his sister: Carmella Stubba of Oswego, NY; his beloved Grandchidren: Stephanie (Greg) Colasurdo, Jeffrey Primeau, Joseph (Maggie) Fitzsimmons, Thomas and David Wild; Great Grandchildren: Caitlyn, Lindsay and Zachary Colasurdo and Henry and Julien Keltz-Primeau and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St Oswego.
Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and Shrine, Oswego; where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego, NY.
Military Honors will be bestowed by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
