Gladys Jessie Davis

OSWEGO – Gladys Jessie Davis, a devoted mother, left us peacefully on November 6th, 2025 at the age of 87 in Oswego, NY.

Born July 22, 1938 in Oakland California, Gladys was a cherished, daughter, sister, niece, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Gladys was a loving, hardworking, vivacious mother of 7 children. She navigated the challenges of being a young mother with incredible strength. She was a force of nature, a source of endless laughter, and the heart of our family. Her smile was made of sunshine, and her heart was solid gold. Our mother’s vibrant personality captured everyone’s attention, in any space. She spent her late years in Oswego, NY where she was able to witness the subtle beauty of a small town, while receiving care and attentiveness from her children. We are so grateful for her sacrifices and the love she gave while working tirelessly to provide for us. Her dedication and perseverance in raising us are something we will never forget.

Gladys’ love and resilience will live on through her children, Gabriel Gonzales, Desiree Gonzales, Kimberly Vernon, Vincent Davis, Stacey Davis, and Leonard Davis. Also, by her grandchildren, great children, and great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Solano, her late husbands, brother Michael Solano, and her daughter Kristi Davis.

A private family service will be held. Our family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
