Ian P. Stanbridge, 61

FULTON, NY – Ian P. Stanbridge, 61, of Phoenix, NY, passed away at his home surrounded by family after battling a long illness on Wednesday July 2, 2014.

Mr. Stanbridge was born to the late John and Olive “Joyce” (Jones) Stanbridge of Cheltenham, England.

He had been a resident of the United States since 1976 and had been living in Phoenix since 1977.

Mr. Stanbridge had served in the Territorial Army in England.

He worked as a maintenance mechanic and machinist at Anhauser Busch, Baldwinsville, NY, for 24 years.

Mr. Stanbridge was the founding member of the Baldwinsville Brewery Bicycling Club.

He enjoyed being a past volunteer with Boy Scouts of America and the Phoenix Little League.

Mr. Stanbridge is survived by his wife of 40 years,  Glenda Stanbridge of Phoenix; children: Matthew (Jesse) Stanbridge of California and Katherine (Matthew) Maine of Pennellville, NY; granddaughter, Vivian Maine of Pennellville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer Kinder, Gillian (Clive)  Berriman both of Cheltenham, England, and Debra (Martin) Jenkins of Staffordshire, England; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held privately.

There will be no calling hours.
