FULTON – May 11, 2026, James A. Smith, 85; of Fulton, NY passed peacefully Thursday, May 11th, 2026, at Oswego Hospital, Oswego, NY.
Mr. Smith was born in Syracuse, NY to the late William and Ruth Smith. He was a lifelong resident of Syracuse and Fulton, NY. Mr. Smith retired from DiSalvo, Phoenix, NY where he worked as a truck driver. He was also past employed with D’Augustino Farms, located at the Syracuse Regional Market. Mr. Smith loved the outdoors. He liked to fish, hunt and go to camp up north with friends and family.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife: Charmaine Smith of Oswego, NY; four children: Jeanine Chapman-Ferrer, Rachael Urbach, Michael Johnson and Kenneth Studer, and several grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held privately.
There will be no Calling Hours.
James will be buried privately at the convenience of the family.
