FULTON – John F. Dzencelowcz Sr., 74, of Baldwinsville, NY died Friday January 30, 2026 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
John was born in Syracuse the son of the late Joseph and Celia (Jankowski) Dzencelowcz. John owned and operated JD Carpet Service, Syracuse, for 36 years, and he later worked for Home Depot, in Cicero for 12 years and Lowes in Liverpool for 3 years as their carpet salesman. He enjoyed repairing cars, and to his family he was known as Mr. Fix It for all their needs. John was on the advisory board at Holy Cross Polish Catholic Church in Lakeland.
He is survived by his loving family his wife of 56 years Kathleen Dzencelowcz of Baldwinsville, and their children John Dzencelowcz Jr. of CA, Jamie Dzencelowcz of NC, Kelly (Harlon) Rotnour of Syracuse, and Kimberlie Reeves of Baldwinsville. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Merrick, Drew, Krimson “Cage”, Kadia, and his sister Antoinette (Harold) Mundstock of N. Syracuse. He was predeceased by his siblings Regina Tergerson, and Joseph Dzencelowcz.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 5:30 PM, with a prayer service at 5:30 PM, at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc. 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
Burial will be private.
