John W. Baum

FULTON – October 23, 2024, John W. Baum, 58; of Martville, NY; passed unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, October 23^rd, 2024.

John was born in Fulton, NY and has been a 30-year resident of Martville, NY.  He was also a 30-year employee with Hutamaki, Fulton; having begun his career in 1994 as a machine operator and later transferring into the custodial department.  John enjoyed being outdoors and he was an avid gardener.  He loved being with his family and spending time with his grand dog “Cooper.”  John was hardworking but he also enjoyed his solitude at home and peaceful life outside of work.

He was pre-deceased by his mother:  Martha (Buckholtz) Baum in 2021.  John is survived by his two children:  Jared Baum of Fulton, NY; Julie Baum of Oswego, NY his father William “Billy”  Baum of Fulton, his siblings:  Brenda Zimmermann of TX; Ernest (Donna Shue) Baum of Fulton and his “Little Cuz” Chrissy (Nate) Erwin.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews:  Brittany, Leesa, Jaclyn, Parker, Maddison; great niece and great nephew:  Noah and Piper and the mother of his children:  Jaleen Baum of Martville, NY.

Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2^nd St. S., Fulton.

A Private Celebration of Life will follow at a location given by invitation only.

Burial will be held privately.
