FULTON, NY – Josephine M. Izyk, 95, of Fulton, died Tuesday August 2, 2016, in Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center, Oswego.
Mrs. Izyk was born in Fulton, the daughter of the late Michael and Sophie (Terlecki) Tryniski.
She was a former employee with General Electric in Syracuse and Nestle’s Co., Fulton.
Mrs. Izyk was a former communicant of St. Michael’s Church, Fulton, a past member of St. Michael’s Church Choir and Altar Rosary Society.
She was a member of the Fulton Community Chorus and the Fulton PLAV.
Mrs. Izyk enjoyed gardening, embroidery and latch hooking rugs.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis P. Izyk, in 2006; and her daughter-in-law, Meridth, in 2014.
Mrs. Izyk is survived by her son, James Izyk of Fulton; her sister, Helen (Richard) Burton of Texas; grandchildren John (Michelle) Izyk, Joanne Izyk, Cheryl Rathmann and Cassandra Izyk.
She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren, Natalie, Victoria, Trevor, Ethan, Alina and Eliana; two step-great-granddaughters, Hannah and Casey.
Funeral services and burial were held privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
Calling hours were also held privately at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, NY.
