FULTON, NY – Kay DeSimone, of Rome, NY, died Wednesday April 18, 2018, at Bethany Gardens, Rome.

Miss DeSimone was born in Rome, NY, the daughter of the late Anthony and Lena (Peraino) DeSimone.

She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy.

Miss DeSimone retired from Marine Midland Bank, Rome after 38 years of service, as the associate director.

She was a strong supporter and volunteer for the American Cancer Society, where she would coordinate a yearly fundraiser.

She was an honorary life member of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, she was a very active member of the Rotary Club of Rome, where Kay loved being a greeter before the meetings.

Kay was a member of the Republican 100,000 Club, a very active member of the Rome Republican Committee, and was the recipient of the Republican Lincoln Award in 2015.

She was a member of the Rome and Utica ARC.

Miss DeSimone was predeceased by, her sisters, Marie Walker and Susan Pelton; her brother, Michael DeSimone; brothers-in-law, Lyle Pelton and Don Walker.

Miss DeSimone is survived by her many cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul’s Church, Rome.

Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Rome.

At Kay’s request there are no calling hours.

The arrangements are in the care of Miss DeSimone’s cousins of the Sugar Funeral Home, Fulton, NY.
