Laura Sherman

FULTON – Laura Sherman, 87; of Fulton passed away peacefully at Oswego Hospital after a short illness. 

She was born in Watertown, NY to the late George and Elizabeth Jean (Molnar) Siver. Mrs. Sherman and John her husband of 56 years moved with their family to Phoenix, NY and then to Fulton, NY 1985 where they continued to reside. Mrs. Sherman was past employed for 19 years with New York Telephone Company, Syracuse, NY where she had worked as an Operator and a Supervisor. 

She enjoyed birds, and views of beautiful gardens full of flowers and plants.  Mrs. Sherman was an accomplished artist.  She liked to draw and read both literature and poetry. 

Mrs. Sherman and her husband were pre-deceased by their son Timothy Sherman on November 16, 2017.  On November 10 Mrs. Sherman was pre-deceased by her husband, John Sherman. Previously, she was pre-deceased by her two brothers:  Norman Siver and David Siver. 

Mrs. Sherman is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ted (Angela Pappalardo) Sherman of Williamsville, NY; her sister Elizabeth Coomey of Baldwinsville, NY; and 3 beloved grandchildren: Ian, Audrey, and Nina. 

A Graveside Service was held privately Saturday, December 5 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton with Deacon Nick Alvaro officiating. There will be no calling hours. The Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton had care of the arrangements.
