FULTON – February 5, 2025, Leo C. Malone, 102, of Hannibal, NY passed away Wednesday, February 5th, 2025; at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Oswego Town, NY to the late John E. and Anna (Gray) Malone.  Mr. Malone has remained a lifetime resident of both Hannibal and Oswego Town, NY.  Leo was a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII in the 8th Army Air Corp in the European Theater.  He successfully co-owned and operated with his brother Bernie Malone: Malone’s Garage, Oswego, from 1945 until 1985.  Mr. Malone was a past member of the Prior Stock American Legion, Hannibal, NY.  He was an active outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening and wood working.  Leo also loved the company of his dogs.  Mr. Malone’s truest passion was to spend time with his family never thinking twice about stopping what he may be doing in order to give his undivided attention to his family.

He was pre-deceased by his wife: Alma Malone, their two sons:  Stanley Malone and Douglas Malone and his 6 siblings:  Raymond Malone, Leonard Malone, Bernard Malone, Cecilia O’Connor, Lawrence Malone and Donald Malone.

Leo is survived by his 4 children:  Timothy (Marjorie) Malone of Oswego, NY; Daniel (Claire) Malone of Oswego, NY; Rebecca (William) Truax of Hannibal, NY; Terri (Anthony) Tuso of Oswego, NY; 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held 3:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th St., Oswego, NY.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego and 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Hannibal; where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Leo Oduor.

Burial will be conducted at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego.

The United States Army Honor Guard will bestow Military Honors.
