FULTON, NY – Luis M. Santos Decastro, 66, of Oswego died Wednesday February 11, 2015, in St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse, after a courageous battle with a rare degenerative disease.
His strength and positive outlook throughout his life was a true inspiration for his family.
Luis was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and had been a resident of Oswego for more than 20 years.
Luis was a barber in Puerto Rico and later worked in Auxiliary Services at SUNY Oswego.
He is survived by his loving family: children, Ivelisse Santos Ridriguez of Massachusetts, Kasia (John) Johnson of Fulton, Andrew Dziedzic of Hannibal and Danny Ruiz of Texas; his mother, Ramonita Vazquez of Massachusetts; and his partner, Michele Dziedzic of Oswego.
In addition, he is survived by his loving grandchildren, Haiden, Grant and Jackson.
Services and burial are private.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
