OSWEGO, NY – Margaret A. McHenry, 84, of Sterling, NY, passed away Sunday January 21, 2018, at Morningstar Care Center, Oswego.
She was born in Astoria, NY, and she had been a resident of Sterling for the last 13 years.
Mrs. McHenry was a devoted wife and mother.
She was a past Girl Scouts’ Assistant Leader for several years, member of a quilter’s guild and the Fair Haven American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
Mrs. McHenry had been an active communicant with St. Jude Catholic Church, Fair Haven, Blessed Trinity Church, Wolcott, NY; and St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Red Creek, NY.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Ruf; and her brother.
Mrs. McHenry is survived by her husband of 60 years, William McHenry of Sterling; and their four children: Patricia McHenry of Pennsylvania, David (Rhonda) McHenry of Maryland, Sheila (Steven) Hosnander of Massachusetts and Dianne (James) Grivner of Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren: Michael, Steven J., Sarah, David W. and Abigail.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
There will be no calling hours.
