FULTON – January 29, 2025, Margaret Cook Nicks, 86; of Fulton, NY passed peacefully Wednesday evening with family by her side at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego, NY.
Mrs. Nicks was born in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Carl and Electa (Moore) Cook. She lived in Fountain Inn, SC for 20 years and moved to Fulton in 2018 to be closer to family. Mrs. Nicks was past employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse having worked in a few hospital settings including E.J. Noble Gouverneur Hospital, Gouverneur, NY. She was a past member of the Bethaney Baptist Church, SC. Mrs. Nicks loved all types of dancing and especially enjoyed square dancing.
She was pre-deceased by her first husband: Leo Kilmer and her second husband: Preston Nicks. She was also pre-deceased by 5 siblings: Louise, David, Richard, Raymond and Eileen.
Mrs. Nicks is survived by her 4 children: Lucinda (James) Forbes of Fulton, Leo Edward (Cathy) Kilmer of Charleston, SC; Carl (Marie) Kilmer of Fountain Inn, SC and Patrick Kilmer; her 3 siblings: Agnes (Fred) Pierce of FL, Nona (Jack) Altman of Syracuse, NY; and Nyla Barrett of Syracuse, NY. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held privately.
Burial will be held privately.
There will be no Calling Hours.
The Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton, has care of the arrangements.
