Margaret “Margie” Knopp,

OSWEGO – Margaret “Margie” Knopp, 87, of Oswego died Thursday September 17, 2026 at Crouse Hospital after a short illness.

Margie was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Giambo) Lombard. She worked for many years at H. L. Green’s and later Wayne Drugs, Oswego, as a sales clerk until her retirement.  Margie enjoyed going with her family to the casino, scratch offs, and playing bingo, most of all she loved visiting or talking on the phone with her loving family.

Margie is survived by her children Geno (Deb Barbeau) Knopp of Oswego, Mary Ann (Dan) Foley of Oswego and Susan (Bob Izyk) Knopp of Oswego. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Geno (Ashley) Knopp, Christie (Jeremy) Kerling, Tony (Nicole) Knopp, Ted (Samantha) Knopp, Brandi (Joshua) Kerling, Kimberly (Reggie Batrack) Davis, Alison (Angelo) Colon, Justin (Kaitlyn) Foley and Holden Foley, and her 20 great grandchildren.

Margie was predeceased by her brother James Lombard.

Calling hours will be Thursday September 24, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.

Graveside services will be Friday September 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego.
