Mary Ann McLaughlin, 91

OSWEGO, NY – Mary Ann McLaughlin, 91, of Oswego, died Thursday January 18, 2018, in Seneca Hill Manor.

She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosaria (Juiffre) Chillemi, and she lived most of her life in Oswego.

She was a graduate of Oswego High School and was a member of the Sodality of Mary at St. Joseph Church.

Mrs. McLaughlin worked at Samson United during World War II doing war work and at St. Regis and then retired from General Electric of Syracuse.

Mrs. McLaughlin was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Leo McLaughlin; and brothers, Dominic Chillemi, Anthony Chillemi, and Joseph Chillemi.

Mrs. McLaughlin is survived by her brother, Frank (Jean Feeney) Chillemi of Oswego; and sisters-in-law, Grace Chillemi of Oswego and Betty Chillemi of Oswego.

She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Barbara Gianetto, Ann Marie Walczak, Joseph, James and John Chillemi; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
