Mary J. Stinson, 89

OSWEGO, NY – Mary J. Stinson, 89, of New Haven, died Friday April 13, 2018, peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (O’Malley) Lysaght.

Mrs. Stinson worked as a telephone operator in Long Island and as a housekeeper at Starlight Motel, East Lyme, Connecticut.

She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Oswego.

Mrs. Stinson was predeceased by her husband, Owen Stinson, April 29, 2002.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Mazzoli of Oswego and David Stinson of Oswego.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mark Mazzoli, Ami Jo Jordal, Gina (Brad) Wentworth, Alison Long and Erin (Gary Pickrell) Stinson; great-grandchildren, Adison McConnell, Shaine and Owynn Jordal, Kaylin and Jack Long and Amelia Wentworth.

Mrs Stinson was predeceased by her siblings Alice Bennett, Frances Reisert and James Lysaght.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
