FULTON -Mary (Maria) Simon, 92 passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Mary was the loving daughter of the late Salvatore and Mariann (Verdi) Leone. She is survived by her son Rusty and daughter-in-law Marie Simon, grandson Adam and his wife Renee Simon and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews all of whom she held dear. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roselli Simon and loving son, Joseph Simon.
A gifted dress maker and writer and a spirited storyteller, Mary’s word will live on through the generations. She was caring and clever, strong and fiercely independent. Mary touched many lives and selflessly gave to others unconditionally throughout her long, blessed life.
Her family sends a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Crouse Hospital. Especially Dr. Singh, Jennifer, Gina and Debbie on 7M, and the Spiritual Care Team. Their commitment and kindness were limitless. And to her dear friends and neighbors, who’s support and comradery were Mary’s life-line.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Joseph Scardella on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton. At Mary’s request, there are no calling hours and burial will be immediate family only. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar Funeral Home Inc. 224 W. 2nd St S. Fulton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW, 216 Cayuga St. Fulton, NY.
