Maureen Anne (Deming) Polky

OSWEGO – September 11, 2026, Maureen Anne (Deming) Polky, 70; passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.  Maureen was born in Oswego, NY to her adoring parents, the late Donald and Rose Deming.  Maureen graduated from Oswego High School.  After raising her family, she worked in the Oswego City School District and was extremely devoted to helping all the students, teachers and staff that she loved to see every day.  Maureen had a tremendous love for her two boys of whom she was extremely proud.  Her boys and grandchildren were everything to her and held a very special place in her heart.  She loved baking for her family soaking up sunshine, and making sure Christmas Eve was special and memorable for everyone.  Maureen had a love for all animals and a special connection with her now 16-year-old Shar Pei, whom she spoiled with peanut butter and ice cream every night.

Maureen is survived by her devoted husband of fifty years:  Mark A. Polky of Oswego, her two sons:  Mark C. (Michelle) Polky of Baldwinsville, NY; and Ryan (Lyndsey) Polky of Oswego, her beloved grandchildren:  Madison, Makenna, William and Ryan; her brothers:  Robert (Cindy) Deming and James (Mimi) Deming, her sister-in-law Shelia Malone, sister-in-law Julie Polky and her many wonderful nieces and nephews:

Calling Hours will be held from 10:00 AM to Noon, Saturday, September 19^th at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4^th St., Oswego.

There will be no Funeral Service and Burial will be conducted privately.
