Neal J. Renfrew, 85; of Phoenix, NY passed Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY after a short illness.

Mr. Renfrew was born in Phoenix, NY to the late William and Marion (Barse) Renfrew. He has remained a lifetime resident of Phoenix, NY. Neal and his wife Elizabeth enjoyed camping at Brennan Beach for 42 years. He also loved the NY Giants, golfing and a cold Budweiser. Neal was a man of few words, sometimes even described as being quiet until he did speak and you heard his incredibly quick wit. He could mumble a sentence that may straddle the invisible line of colorful comments which usually made the listener laugh right aloud and if his wife was the listener she would normally say that he should not be encouraged to repeat what he said.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Elizabeth Renfrew of Phoenix, NY; their 2 daughters and their husbands: Rose and Mike Dievendorf of Fulton and Sandy and Jason Morrell of Baldwinsville, NY; his 2 brothers: Gordon (Anna) Renfrew of Clay, NY; Ernie (Deb) Renfrew of Phoenix, NY; 4 grandchildren: Erin (Tony) Iorio, Jory (Charel) Morrell, Jenna (Ben) Candee and Tyler (Danielle) Dievendorf; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
