FULTON, NY – Patricia A. Condon Smithers, 82, of Phoenix, NY; passed away peacefully Saturday June 29, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
She was born in Fulton to the late Ira and Clarabelle (Burt) Spaulding.
Patricia was formerly of Liverpool, NY, and she has lived in Phoenix, NY, for the past 26 years.
She retired from Naum’s Moving and Storage, Syracuse, where she worked as a bookkeeper.
Patricia was an avid pen pal handwriting hundreds of letters over the years to 50+ people.
She loved to read and dance.
Patricia also participated in bunco club.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and especially loved hosting her family during the holidays and special events.
Patricia is survived by her husband of seven years, Keith Smithers of Phoenix; her children: Michael (KarenLee) Condon of Granby, NY; and Kathleen (Scott) Reich of Otisco, NY; her step-children: Christine (Taka) Shigihara of California, Anthony (Terry) River of Syracuse, Kenneth (Kathy) River of North Syracuse, AnnaBelle (Dennis) Ransom of North Carolina, Kristina Hawker of Fulton, Vell Kurt (Erin) Smithers of North Carolina, and Vell Kory Smithers of Phoenix, NY; her siblings: Sheila Westcott of Phoenix, NY, Donald (Caroline) Spaulding of Sterling, NY; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
Burial will be conducted privately.
There will be no funeral service.
