Patricia “Patty” Garafolo

OSWEGO – May 14, 2025, Patricia “Patty” Garafolo, 73; of Oswego, NY passed at Oswego Hospital, Oswego, NY; Wednesday, May 14^th, 2025, in the early morning after years of  battling courageously.

She was born in Oswego, NY to the late Angelo and Esther (Menter) Favata.  Patty remained a lifetime Oswego resident.  She owned and operated Classic Styles until she retired.  Patty was extremely artistic.  She loved gardening, painting and floral arranging.  She was a wonderful cook and baker.  Patty’s forte was cooking family meals, spending time with her children and their families and participating as the number one fan of her children and grandchildren’s extracurricular activities that included to name a few:  racing, sports, school and band events.  Patty’s main focus was always her family.  She also shared a love of  asphalt and dirt racing with her husband Joe.  They would travel the circuit together and attended numerous races.

Patty is survived by her husband of 48 years:  Joseph Garafolo of Oswego, NY; their children:  Bob (Michelle) Garafolo of Oswego, NY; Joe (Beth Ingersoll) Garafolo of Oswego, NY; Dustin (Samatha Donahue) Garafolo of Owego, NY and Derrick (Casey Engels) Garafolo of Oswego, NY; and her grandchildren:  Cameron, Lauren, Nicholas, Olivia and Esther.  She is also survived by her siblings:  Thomas (Barbara) Favata of Oswego, NY, Mary Paul of Baldwinsville, NY; and Sarah (Mark) Weigelt of Oswego, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Patty was pre-deceased by her brother:  Bill Favata.

Calling Hours will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4^th St., Oswego, NY.

A Funeral will be conducted 10 AM Monday at CTGS-St. Paul’s Church, Oswego, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Canorro.  Burial will be held in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego, NY.
