OSWEGO COUNTY – Paul M. Legac, 92, of Red Creek, NY died Tuesday January 7, 2025 in Morningstar Care Center.
Mr. Legac was born in New York City, NY, the son of the late Paul and Antonia (Kuzdeba) Legac. Mr. Legac began his career with the Boston & Maine Railroad, as a conductor & in the switching yard. He was employed by ALCO in Schenectady & in Auburn, NY. In later years, Mr. Legac formed Diesel Sales International, selling locomotive parts worldwide.
He was predeceased by his wives Margaret J. Legac in 1953 and Phyllis J. Legac in 2012.
Mr. Legac is survived by his children Maureen (Joseph) Berson of Red Creek, Francis Legac of Vermont, and Jeffrey (Ellen) Currie of Vermont. He is also survived by his grandchildren Rebecca (Daniel), Robert (Lisa), Elisabeth (Paul), Rachel (David), Sita, Paul (Alison), and their mother Indu; Matthew (Mary Kate) and their mother Margaret Charleston; Clancy, Stephanie (Dale), & many great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Brownsville, Vermont in the spring.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St Oswego.
