OSWEGO – Richard Michael Holmes, born on December 9,1978, completed the family of Robert and Christine (Godici) Holmes. He passed on October 9, 2026. Rich was an intelligent, creative and endlessly curious person who was always thinking, imagining and dreaming of his next big idea. His mind was rarely still, and he was always constantly exploring new possibilities. He had a natural curiosity about the world and a deep appreciation for the outdoors, especially being near water, where he found a special kind of freedom and connection. Above all, his greatest gift to the world are his children, Boden and Charlotte who will forever be an important part of his story. He also shared a lasting connection with his former wife, Jennifer, who remained a meaningful presence in his life.
He was the little brother to his sister’s Tracy (Jim) and her son Jeremy. Rebecca (Brian), and their children Benjamin and Luciana.
He will be deeply missed by his children, parents, sisters, extended family, and friends.
When you see a beautiful scenic view or a field of wildflowers, pick up a bouquet in his honor, smile and remember Rich smiling back at you.
Arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego.
A Celebration of Life will be with family at a later date.
