Sally Affanato

OSWEGO – Sally Affanato, 93, of Oswego, formerly of New York City died Friday October 9, 2026 at Seneca Hill Manor, after a short illness. Sally was born in Rome NY, the daughter of the late John and Arletta (Streun) Affanato. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. Sally dedicated her life to the Salvation Army, caring for others in need. She was the administrative secretary for 47 years at the Eastern Territorial Headquarters in New York City and later in West Nyack, NY.

She was predeceased by her sisters Ruth Foley, Shirley Affanato, Terry Thompson, Marjorie Smith, and her brother Elmer Foley.

Sally is survived by her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial will be private.

The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego.
