Sarah A. Allen

LYCOMING, NY – Sarah A. Allen, 40, of Lycoming, NY died Tuesday peacefully at her parents’ home, with family by her side.

She was born in Oswego the daughter of Kerry “Shawn” and Sylvia (Heath) Allen of Lycoming. Sarah was a manager at Lowe’s, Syracuse for several years. She enjoyed the outdoors going hunting and riding on the four wheelers, she was a wonderful seamstress. Sarah specialty was her quilt making, which she shared with family, friends, and for the children at Golisano Children’s Hospital, Syracuse, in hope to bring some joy to the children. She had a great love for horses, riding, competing and just caring for such a beautiful animal.

Sarah leaves behind her children Abigail (Jacob Smith) Toland of Lycoming, Joseph Toland of Baldwinsville, grandson Koda Smith of Lycoming, her parents Kerry “Shawn” and Sylvia Allen of Lycoming. She is also survived by her siblings Amy (David) Nicoll of Syracuse, Jeremy (Beckie) Allen of Clay, her aunts Julie Ganoung of Olean, Sally Goessel of Va., and niece and nephews Aspen, Daniel, Baillie, and Hunter, and several cousins.

Sarah was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Lloyd and Shirley Heath, her paternal grandparents Richard and Florence Allen, her aunt Barb Smith, and uncle Dan Allen.

Funeral services will be Saturday November 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Minetto United Methodist Church.

Calling hours will be Friday November 22, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4^th. St. Oswego. Burial will be private.
