OSWEGO – Teddy James Straight, 51, of Oswego died Friday July 31, 2026, at University Hospital, Syracuse after a courageous battle, with pancreatic cancer.
Teddy was born in Oswego the son of the late Kathleen Sweet Straight, and Edward Straight of Oswego. He was the head chef at Wade’s Diner for fourteen years, before becoming ill. He loved cooking, all the friendly conversation, joking and laughing with all the patrons, most knew him by name. Ted enjoyed spending time with his wife Tracy vacationing on cruises, road trips, and he enjoyed gambling.
Ted is survived by his loving wife Tracy Straight of Oswego, his father Edward Straight of Oswego, his stepdaughters Brittany Bartlett of New Haven; London Bartlett of New Haven; and his grandsons Logan, Liam and Jaxson. He is also survived by his sisters Heather (Mike) Johnson of Mexico; Sarah (Royal) Straight of Mexico; Kristina Kennedy of Oswego; his brother Joe (Heather) Straight of Oswego, and his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In staying with Teddy’s wishes there will be no services.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th St. Oswego.
