Williams F. Jones, 78; of Oswego died Monday, November 1st at Blossom View Nursing Home, Sodus, NY.
He was born in Syracuse, NY and he has been a resident of Oswego for over 36 years. Mr. Jones worked as a Guidance Counselor at the Middle School with the Oswego City School District for 30 years.
Mr. Jones and his wife Garnett Anne co-owned and operated William F. Jones Real Estate. He was a past member of the Realtors Association.
Mr. Jones was an avid hunter and a pro baseball player for the New York Giants organization.
He was pre-deceased by his wife of 48 years Garnett Anne Jones in 2008, daughter Christine Jones, and 2 brothers Gerald Jones and James Jones.
He is survived by his sons: Gary W. (Jennifer) Jones of Pennellville, NY, and Andrew S. (Keara) Jones of Fulton, NY; 7 grandchildren: Austyn, Aiden, Andrew, Anthony, Dylan, Thomas and Kyle.
Funeral Service will be conducted 6:00 PM Friday at Sugar Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be held privately in the Onondaga Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse, NY. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
