George M. Schadt, 84, 06/17/2008

OSWEGO, NY – George M. Schadt, 84, a resident of 331 E. Ninth St., died on June 17, 2008, at the V.A. Hospital in Syracuse.

Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Martin and Marie Schadt and was a graduate of Oswego High School.

He was employed with Hammermill for more than 35 years.

Mr. Schadt was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.

Surviving are four sisters, Helen Burger of Florida, Elizabeth Renski of Oswego, Alice (Joseph) Barbagallo of Fulton, Ruth Sciortino of Oswego; a brother, John Schadt of Florida; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Arrangements are in care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.
