OSWEGO, NY – Gerald R. Davis, 45, a resident of 30 Woodland Way in the Town of Scriba, died Thursday Aug. 6, 2009, at Oswego Hospital.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and was the son of Patricia Reed Davis of Oswego and the late Edward Davis.
He was a member of the Steamfitters and Plumbers Local 73 in Oswego and had been employed on various local projects.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his son, Jacob.
Mr. Davis served in the US Army from 1983-85.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Davis is survived by one son, Jacob Davis of New Jersey; one brother, Edward Robert Davis of Portsmouth, Va.; two sisters, Judy Davis of Washington State and Dawn (Jeff) Smith of Scriba; one niece, Elicia Davis; and his fiancé, Connie Sheltra.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be Monday 5-7 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
