Gertrude M. “Micki†Sawyer, 82, of Oswego, passed away Thursday, November 27th, 2008 at home.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Esther (Holtz) Ketcham.
Mrs. Sawyer was a graduate of Oswego High School.
Micki was employed as an election inspector. She enjoyed gardening and cake decorating.
She was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection.
Surviving is five daughters, Valerie (William) Dawnstar of Oswego; Shereen (Joe Willard) Sawyer of Leonardtown, Maryland; Kimberley Sawyer of Oswego; Deedra Sawyer of Oswego and Michelle (Gregory) Angelina of Oswego; one son, Ronald (Ann) Reeves of Oswego; three sisters, Kathleen Wyman and Frances Conroy, both of Oswego and Cherine Chagnon of Vermont; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles T. Sawyer and a sister, Viola Rood.
Funeral Services will be held at 10a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Resurrection. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Monday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
