OSWEGO, NY – Helen Teifke Lagoe, 92, passed away on Monday Aug. 31, 2009, at St. Luke Health Center in Oswego, after an extended illness.
She was born in Oswego on Jan. 19, 1917.
Mrs. Lagoe was employed at Fitzgibbons Boiler Company and Lagoe Oswego Corporation.
She was involved in many sports and activities including tennis, golf, and bowling for most of her life.
Her husband, John J. Lagoe, died in 1978.
Surviving are her companion, Robert Ferguson and her caregiver, Brenda Harrington, both of Oswego.
Also surviving are two sons, David (Mary Jo) of Heathrow, Florida and Ronald of Camillus; four grandchildren, Carolyn, Francis, Michael, and Victoria; one sister Betty Jane Hennessy of North Syracuse; her niece, Sue Gosselin of Oswego; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Oswego at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
