James J. Stepien, 64, a resident of Co Rt. 4, Scriba, passed away May 31, 2008 at his home.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Collard) Stepien.
He graduated from Oswego High School in 1962.
Jim was a Chef for several local restaurants. He enjoyed working in the yard, flowers and carpentry work. He was a NASCAR fan and Dale Earnhardt and Jr. Fan.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Fox) Stepien, they celebrated their 30th anniversary on April 8th, a daughter, Andrea Painter of S.C., one son, Jeffrey Stepien of Las Vegas; a brother, Paul R. (Denise) Stepien of Oswego; a grand-daughter, Taylor Stepien of Las Vegas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held 11a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-8p.m. Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
