Jeaneen G. Best, 72, of Fulton, passed away on June 9, 2008 in Oswego, NY.
She was born May 30, 1936, the daughter of Theodore R. and Marguerite Parsons Gray. She was a life resident of Fulton, NY having graduated from Fulton High School in 1954.
Jeaneen was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Fulton for over 55 years as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Women’s Fellowship. She was a legal secretary for several law firms in Fulton, Oswego and Syracuse, NY.
Jeaneen bowled in a women’s league and a couple’s league at Lakeview Lanes and the Sealright Recreation Club. She was an avid reader. Jeaneen was also a member of the Oswego County Visually Impaired Club.
She was predeceased by her parents and her infant son, Mark Raymond.
Jeaneen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Raymond F. Best; her son, Roderick C. (Vicky) Best; her daughter, Melissa G. Best and her granddaughter, Michaela M. Best all of Fulton, NY. In addition she is survived by her sister, Sandra G. Denniston of Fulton, NY; her brother, William J. (Beth) Gray of Dacula, GA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton conducted by Reverend David Nethercott. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
