OSWEGO, NY – John E. Corey, 62, a former resident of Middle Road in the town of Scriba, died Saturday Aug. 1, 2009, in the Demay Living Center, Newark, NY, where he had been a patient.
He was born in Oswego, the son of Doris Smith Wallace and the late John Levi Corey.
He had been self-employed mechanic for many years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Tabitha Corey of Richland; one son, Ronald Rhoads of Oswego; four brothers, James Corey of Florida, Jay Corey, Joseph Crimmins and Frederick Crimmins all of Oswego; three sisters, Dolores Corey of Oswego, Donna Vance of Florida and Deborah (Richard) Dann of Mexico; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. on Aug. 10, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
