John R. Phillips, 64, of Oswego, passed away March 14, 2010 at St. Luke’s Health Services.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Earl and Monica (Hall) Phillips.
He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Education Degrees from SUNY Oswego. John received his second Master’s Degree of Advanced Study from SUNY Cortland
He became a Teacher at Grand Island School District then later worked as a Science Teacher at the Cicero High School in North Syracuse. He worked at Stone and Webster in Oswego and most recently worked at Anheuser-Busch in Baldwinsville and St. Louis.
John was a Volunteer for NAVAC Ambulance Corp.
Surviving are a sister, Patricia (Stanley) Jung of Oswego; a brother, Richard (Roxanna) Phillips of St. Joseph’s Missouri; four nieces and nephews, Roberta (James) Lawson, Russell (Janelle) Phillips, Jennifer (Bill) Cahill and Jeff (Susan) Jung.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth Phillips and Francis Phillips.
Memorial Services will be held 10:30a.m. Saturday, April 17th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto.
