Kathleen F. “Kathy” Novak, 67, of East River Drive, Phoenix, died Saturday, May 31.Novak was born in Phoenix to her late parents, Charles P. and E. Adelia (Richardson) Milligan, on July 16, 1940. Novak was a literature availability manager for Carrier International in Syracuse for 25 years. She retired in 1994. Later, she operated food catering services at her daughter Mary Anne’s business, Country Time Café in Phoenix.

Novak was a member of the First Congregational Church. She served as a trustee for the Village of Phoenix. More recently, she was on the planning committee of the Phoenix Alumni Association’s 50th class reunion for the class of 1958.

She was predeceased by her son, Charles A. Novak, on July 5, 1981.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Michael Novak; two sons, Michael J “Micky” Novak and his wife Gretchen, and Martin “Marty” Novak, all of Phoenix; one daughter and her husband, Mary Anne and David Quintal of Pennellville; a brother and his wife, Bert and Barbara Milligan of Phoenix; and aunt, Mary Narewski of Fulton; her mother-in-law, Virginia Albino of Syracuse; five grandchildren, Jessica Novak, Nicholas and Nathan Novak and Steven and Katrina Quintal; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the First Congregational UCC Church, 43 Bridge St., Phoenix. Rev. Lauri J. Craig will officiate. Burial will be at Phoenix Rural Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix. missing or outdated ad config
