FULTON, NY – Kenneth E. Kio, 85, of Fulton, died in the Veterans Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.

Mr. Kio was born in Fulton, and had been a resident of Fulton for many years.

He was past employed with Mengal Co., as a personnel manager, and Container Corp. of America as an office manager.

Mr. Kio was one of the original founding members of the Fulton Lion’s Club.

He was predeceased by his son, Jeff Kio, in 2004.

He is survived by his wife of 59, years Rhoda June Kio of Fulton; his daughter, Rhoda Lee Kio Elliott of Maine; his brother, Jack Kio of Volney, NY; and his granddaughter, Chloe Rose Elliott.

A graveside memorial service will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Volney, with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.

There will be no calling hours.
