Marguerite Lucille Jones Widell

LARGO, FLA. – On Friday June 7, 2019, Marguerite J. Widell passed away in her home in Largo, Florida.

Born October 29, 1925, to Ivan C and Helen Lucille Jones, in Fulton, NY, Marguerite attended and graduated from the Fulton City School District.

Marguerite spent the majority of her life in New Haven, NY, working for the Mexico School District as a cafeteria worker and then as a cafeteria manager.

Marguerite was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Dick, who passed in March of 2019.

She was also predeceased by one brother, Richard.

Marguerite is survived by sons: Richard (Sandy) of Richmond, Va., Jim (Beth) of Seminole, Fla. and Tom (Nancy) of Mexico, NY; and her daughter, Eileen (Steve) Robinson, of North Fort Myers, Fla.

She leaves behind two brothers, Robert (Carmie) Jones and James Jones; and brother-in-law Tom (Diane) Sheldon, of Oswego, NY.

She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marguerite enjoyed knitting and any activities that involved her family.

She also loved going to the beach, shelling, and watching for dolphins.

After her husband’s passing, Marguerite longed for the day that they would be reunited.

Her family is at peace knowing that they are back together for eternity.

A memorial service is planned for both Marguerite and Richard on July 20, at Grace Episcopal Church in Mexico, at 9:30 a.m.
