FULTON, NY – Marion “Betty†Andrews, 77, formerly of Dewey Drive, Fulton, and currently of Carthage, NY, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 11, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.
She was born in Rome, NY, and she had been a resident of Fulton for many years before moving in 2006.
Mrs. Andrews was a past member of the Snowdrifters Club.
She was formerly employed by General Electric, Syracuse.
She was also past employed with St. Joseph’s Hospital and Oswego Hospital as a home health aide.
Mrs. Andrews enjoyed doing crafts with her good friend, Agnes King.
She was a communicant of St. James Church, Carthage.
Mrs. Andrews was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Ronald Andrews, in 2005; and her sister, Audrey Marshall.
Mrs. Andrews is survived by her children: Daniel (Lori) Andrews of Clay, NY, Susan (Gary) Balch of Ballston Spa, NY, and Brenda (Bruce) Gayne of Carthage, NY; her brothers, Thomas Mabb of Texas, and Ronald Mabb of Elbridge, NY; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Church, Carthage.
Burial will be in Champion Hillside Cemetery, Carthage.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, NY.
